Rubber seal protectant being applied to a car door seal

Restores elasticityHelps prevent crackingWater-repellent finish100 ml goes a long way

The problem

Rubber seals age quietly – until they start to leak

Sun, cold and road salt slowly dry out the rubber around doors, windows and the boot lid. First the seal turns dull and stiff, then the cracks appear – and that is when you get squeaks, draughts and moisture finding its way in. A thin layer along the seal keeps the rubber supple before the damage is done.

Before and after – water beads off the treated rubber seal

How it works

Three minutes per door

1
Wipe clean
Wipe the seal with a damp cloth and let it dry.
2
Apply
Run a thin, even layer along the full length of the seal.
3
Let it work
Wipe off the excess. The rubber turns supple, dark and water-repellent.

The protection

Water beads off instead of soaking in

After treatment, a water-repellent film settles on the rubber. Rain runs off instead of sitting in the channel of the seal – less moisture in the joint, and the seal keeps its soft surface through cold nights.

Common questions

Before you order

How often do I need to treat the seals?

A couple of times a year is enough for most people – ideally once before autumn and once in spring, when the rubber has taken the most weather.

Does it work on old, already dried-out seals?

Yes. On seals that have turned dull and stiff, the treatment brings back softness and colour. Seals that have already cracked deeply cannot be healed – there the product slows further drying out.

Can it be used on anything other than the car?

It works on most rubber seals, for example on a motorhome, trailer or boat. Always test a small area first.

Does the seal turn slippery or sticky after treatment?

No. The excess is wiped off right after application, leaving a dry, soft surface – not an oily film.

How much do I need each time?

Very little. A thin layer is enough, and 100 ml covers every seal on the car with room to spare for several rounds.
